About cookies and similar technologies
Cookie refers to a text file that is saved when connecting to a website on your computer or other device, such as a mobile phone and tablet. As a visitor, you can access, block and remove stored cookies on your device if desired. If you do not do this, cookies are stored until a certain expiration date or until further notice.
When we refer to cookies in this policy, other similar technologies and tools that retrieve and store information in your browser are also included. In some cases, these technologies and tools pass the information on to third parties in a way similar to cookies. Examples of such functions are pixels, local storage and session storage.
Different types of cookies and storage times
There are mainly three forms of cookies: necessary cookies, cookies for analysis and function and cookies for marketing. Necessary cookies are essential for the website to function in a safe and correct way. The necessary cookies do not require consent and do not need to be approved by the visitor. It is therefore not possible to turn off or deny such cookies.
Cookies for analysis and function provide information about how the website is used, which entails an opportunity for Adtraction to improve the visitors' user experience. There are also features that make the site remember your settings. Cookies for analysis and function must be approved by the visitor, and consent can be revoked at any time by disabling cookies in the browser settings. However, if the visitor chooses not to accept cookies, the website's functionality and performance may deteriorate as certain functions are dependent on cookies. A block can therefore mean that the website's services do not work as they should.
Marketing cookies enable personalized and relevant ads based on the visitor's browsing behavior. The information collected can also be combined with other customer and traffic data available about the visitor. Marketing cookies must be approved by the visitor, and consent can be revoked at any time by disabling cookies in the browser settings.
Cookies can have three different storage times:
- During the session, meaning that the cookie will be stored until the visitor closes the browser.
- During a limited time, meaning that there is a predetermined storage time for the specific cookie.
- Until further notice, meaning that the cookie is stored until the visitor deactivates or blocks it.
Cookies used on Adtraction.com
Web analysis with Google Analytics
On behalf of Adtraction, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports about website activities, and provide the website's operator with further services related to website and Internet usage. The IP address sent from your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data by Google. You can prevent storage of cookies by appropriately setting your browser software; in this case, however, please note that you might not be able to fully use all functions offered by Adtraction's website. In addition, you can prevent data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being collected and processed by Google, by downloading and installing a browser plug-in.
Adtraction's website uses Google Analytics with the extension "anonymizeIP()", IP addresses being truncated before further processing in order to rule out direct associations to persons.
Social plug-ins from Facebook
We use social plug-ins from facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. The plug-ins can be recognized by way of the Facebook logo or the supplement "Facebook Social Plug-in". For example, if you click on the "Like" button or leave a comment, the relevant information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. Furthermore, Facebook makes your likes public for your Facebook friends. If you are logged into Facebook, it can assign the invocation of our page directly to your Facebook account. Even if you are not logged in or do not have a Facebook account, your browser sends information (for example which web pages you have called up, your IP address) which is then stored by Facebook.
Cookies that transfer data to third countries
If you as a visitor accept cookies and other similar technologies for marketing and/or analysis, such as Google Analytics, your personal data may be transferred to third countries. Such transfer takes place based on the consent you give when you accept cookies. If you wish to cancel future transfers to third countries, you can block all cookies via the settings in your browser. For more information on how to block, please refer to your browser's help pages.
