Where it all began

In the early 2000s, Stockholm became a hub for new internet startups. At the same time, digital marketing was on the rise, and brands were looking to the internet to sell their products.

Meanwhile, Markus Bjernvall and Simon Gustafson were working at a major Swedish bank. They were drawn to the growing internet world around them, and started building websites to promote products online for various brands. They soon realised the massive untapped potential in driving sales for brands online. However, there was a challenge: their partnerships didn’t run smoothly, and it frustrated both brands and partners.

Driven by their banking backgrounds, which valued high service levels and instant communication, Simon and Markus envisioned a better solution. In 2007, they teamed up with talented developers Christian Longberg, Magnus Hagström, and Marcus Danielsson, and founded Adtraction. Their goal was to build a platform that not only provided robust tracking and reliable payments, but also actively managed partnerships to ensure that no opportunities were missed.

Today, Adtraction helps brands across Europe increase sales at a predictable cost by matching them with partners that provide content, traffic, and sales in exchange for commissions. Our goal remains the same, to drive sales growth by creating the best possible partnerships between brands and partners.
