How smartphoto reached new customers across the Nordics with Adtraction Plus
With Adtraction Plus, smartphoto built brand-to-brand partnerships that helped them reach new audiences, reward existing customers, and grow across Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
Brand-to-brand partnerships across markets
The brand smartphoto is a well-known photo products brand offering personalised photo prints and gifts across the Nordics. Partner marketing has been an important growth channel since they started working with Adtraction in 2014.
After several years with a competing network, smartphoto chose to work exclusively with Adtraction, driven by Adtraction Plus, a brand-to-brand partnership solution that enabled collaboration with strong, non-competing brands to drive both growth and customer loyalty.
Challenge: Connecting with the right brands
Through Adtraction, smartphoto wanted to increase sales and brand awareness by reaching new customers beyond their existing channels, while also rewarding customers after purchase with relevant, high-quality offers.
To do this, smartphoto needed access to well-known, non-competing brands, a way to diversify traffic sources, and a partnership setup that was easy to manage with limited internal resources.
What Adtraction did
Brand-to-brand partnerships with relevant brands
Adtraction Plus was used to set up partnerships between smartphoto and other high-quality, non-competing brands. Each partnership was carefully selected to ensure relevance and mutual value.
Fully managed loyalty portal and partnerships
Adtraction set up smartphoto’s loyalty portal and handled all ongoing partnership management. This included securing relevant offers, renewing discount codes, and proactively managing deals.
Easy technical setup with minimal resources
Adtraction Plus runs through Adtraction’s subdomain tracking script, requiring minimal technical resources from smartphoto. Adtraction handled deployment and maintenance after approval.
Results: Growth across markets without added complexity
Adtraction Plus enabled smartphoto to scale brand-to-brand partnerships efficiently across multiple markets. Today, smartphoto has formed more than 150 brand-to-brand partnerships in Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
The impact on traffic and performance has been significant.
Beyond growth, smartphoto was able to reward their customers with relevant, high-quality benefits, while keeping internal effort to a minimum. All partnerships, offers, and renewals were handled externally, freeing up time and resources internally.
Sofie Jönsson, Influencer & Partnership Manager from smartphoto commented:
Adtraction Plus has given us a simple and effective way to work with other strong brands. We can reach new customers, reward existing ones, and scale across markets without adding complexity internally. It’s a strong complement to our existing partnerships.
