The round up of PI Live 2022

With record brand and general attendance for PI Live 2022 it’s no wonder Adtraction UK felt there was a great buzz and atmosphere this year.

Anthony Clements, Managing Partner UK said “From my perspective, it was great to see the industry’s biggest event navigate the difficulties of Covid and return to the vibrant, in-person networking extravaganza it’s long been known for. The busiest PI Live event I’ve been to.”

A wide variety of talks took place with a key theme running through the two days being the ‘cost of living crisis’, what impact it is going to have on our industry and how to weather the imminent storm.

Adtraction’s Anthony Clements, alongside Linda O’Connell from CJ and Kevin Edwards from Awin, took to the stage on Day 1 to discuss the ‘State of the Affiliate Industry’ study. Now I know we might be biassed but this was an insightful talk as it presented the results of a survey conducted with advertisers and agencies, which asked their opinions on a range of topics from how they plan to spend on partner marketing next year to how they rate different partner types.

Another talk which was a fantastic addition was actually not focussed on our industry at all, but was talking to us all as in relation to mental health and that was the talk by Tim Arthur, CEO of Royal Academy of Dance entitled ‘Breakdown in my 20’s, Global CEO in my 30’s’. It was thought provoking as well as incredibly genuine and touching.

When we weren’t visiting one of the stages to watch some of the great discussions, Adtraction had a nook area this year that gave us a base for meeting our partners and advertisers.

Anton Johnson, one of our senior account managers attended his first PI Live this year and said: “It was great to meet all the partners in person for the first time. I feel I have gained valuable relationships with both current and new partners which you only gain from these events. Listening to the talks was very insightful, hearing from the partners perspective and also our competitors has enabled me to gain some essential knowledge.”

If we didn’t get a chance to see you and you would like to talk about partner marketing in the UK please contact us at uk@adtraction.com.

We are looking forward to next year already.
